How to Configure Your Direct Booking Page in Macufy

Macufy's Direct Booking feature allows property owners and managers to accept reservations directly through their own public booking page, helping reduce dependency on third-party booking platforms.

This guide explains each configuration option available within your Direct Booking settings and how to complete them correctly to maximise conversions and provide guests with a professional booking experience.

1. Enable Your Direct Booking Page

The first step is to activate your public booking page.

Once enabled, Macufy generates a unique public URL that you can share through:

  • Your website

  • Social media channels

  • WhatsApp

  • Email campaigns

  • Google Business Profile

  • Online advertising campaigns

If this option is disabled, guests will not be able to access your booking page.

2. Configure Your Booking Page URL

Each property receives its own unique booking URL.

Example:

macufy.com/book/my-london-apartment

Best Practices

  • Use lower-case letters only.

  • Avoid special characters.

  • Keep it short and descriptive.

  • Include your property name or location.

Good Examples

  • london-city-apartment

  • beachfront-villa-algarve

  • countryside-cottage-yorkshire

Avoid

  • apartment12345

  • property-final-v2

  • test-booking

A clean URL improves both user trust and search engine visibility.

3. Configure Your Public Title

The property title is one of the most important elements on your booking page.

It appears:

  • On the booking page itself

  • In search results

  • On Google and other search engines

It should clearly communicate the property's key benefits.

Recommendations

  • Highlight the location.

  • Mention guest capacity.

  • Include key amenities.

Example

Enjoy a relaxing stay in this spacious apartment with sea views, Wi-Fi and accommodation for up to six guests.

5. Property Introduction

Therefore:

  • Macufy does not issue accommodation invoices to guests.

  • The property owner or manager is solely responsible for issuing invoices relating to the stay.

  • Property owners are responsible for the pricing displayed on the platform.

  • All prices shown to guests must include any applicable taxes and mandatory charges.

  • Property owners are solely responsible for calculating, declaring and paying any taxes relating to their business activities.

Responsibility for Reservations

Macufy is not a party to the accommodation agreement between guest and property owner.

Macufy accepts no responsibility for:

  • Reservation cancellations.

* Where the property owner holds a valid intra-community VAT number and qualifies under applicable EU VAT regulations, the VAT charged on Macufy's commission invoice may be reduced to 0% under the reverse charge mechanism.

How It Works

  1. The guest pays a total of £710.45.

  2. Macufy processes the payment as the booking intermediary.

  3. £650.00 is allocated to the property owner.

  4. £60.45 represents Macufy's service fee.

  5. The property owner receives £650.00 during the month following check-out, subject to the minimum five-day holding period.

At the beginning of each month, Macufy issues a commission invoice to the property owner covering reservations processed during the previous billing period. Applicable taxes on this invoice depend on the property owner's tax registration status and applicable tax regulations.
